Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara is
oldest and the most prestigious Kendriya Vidyalaya
in the N.E. Region. It is a Civil Sector Vidyalaya
situated at Jawahar Nagar Khanapara ,
accommodating approximately 2400 students from
class I to XII. It also houses a single
Pre-Primary class. The Vidyalaya offers Science,
Commerce and Humanities Streams at +2 level with a
number of optional subjects as per KVS guidelines
giving an opportunity to the students to opt for
their choice of subjects.

Important points for functioning library:
-Students come to the library and read books, Magazines, News Papers & Note down the important points and keep records
- Books have been kept in almirah subject wise. Cataloging has not been done.
- Books are taken out of almirah time to time and re-kept after cleaning
- Class library organized for primary classes i.e. from class I to V.
-Class library has been organized. Class teachers concerned have been given books with
Trunk/Almirah. In library periods teacher concerned issue books and return after classes over

GAMES AND SPORTS:
(a) Play grounds: Volley ball, foot ball, Basket ball, Bad Minton, Indoor Moth Gymnasium, Table Tennis court available
(b) Organization of games / sports activities at school level: Inter class and Inter house competitions are organized.
Students take part at School, Regional, National and SGFI level.
(c) Activities organized for mass participation: Mass. P.T., Interclass sports competition etc.
(d) Role of PET’s in organizing Games and Sports: He is sincere and takes pain for the improvement of games & sports and under his able guidance students are winning and bringing laurels for Vidyalaya.
